What is Ultra Safe Liposuction?
Traditional liposuction is often performed "blindly," relying on the surgeon's feel to navigate the cannula under the skin. Ultra Safe Liposuction (Ultrasound-Guided Liposuction) changes this paradigm by using medical-grade ultrasound technology to visualize the anatomy in real-time.
This allows Dr. Bravo to see exactly where the cannula is located, distinguishing between fat, muscle, blood vessels, and fascia with millimeter precision.
The "Ultra Safe" Difference
Safety is the primary reason patients choose this technique at Elyzee Hospital. The benefits include:
Prevention of Complications: By visualizing the needle and cannula, Dr. Bravo avoids critical structures, virtually eliminating the risk of injury to organs or major blood vessels.
Zero Intramuscular Injection: Crucial for procedures involving fat transfer (like BBL), ultrasound ensures fat is never injected into the muscle, preventing fat embolism.
Reduced Trauma: Because the surgeon can see the connective tissue, there is less blind probing, leading to less bruising and swelling.
How It Works
Visualization: Before and during the procedure, a portable ultrasound scanner is placed on the skin.
Targeting: Dr. Bravo identifies the specific fat layers to be targeted and marks "no-go" zones where nerves or vessels are present.
Removal: The fat is gently aspirated while constantly monitoring the instrument's depth on the screen, ensuring a perfectly even removal.
Recovery & Results
Because the procedure is less traumatic to the surrounding tissues, recovery is often smoother than traditional methods. Most patients return to light desk work within 5 to 7 days. A compression garment is worn for 4–6 weeks to ensure the skin retracts smoothly over your new contours.
